Steve has over 40 years of experience in fabrication and hydraulics of permissible equipment. He has been self-taught and worked in this area since he graduated high school. Steve has co-owned, developed, and then sold several coal mines, including J H & L, Coal, Inc., Buck Creek Mine, Redbird Mine, and Laswell Coal Company, to name a few.
Javen, later Javen, LLC, was started in 1995 by Steve to provide management services, contract labor to coal mines, and equipment rental.
Steve joined the Pittman Mine Service, LLC team in 2008 as a contract fabrication specialist. He also serves as a purchasing agent of equipment for Pittman, along with a general manager consultant. Steve brings with him many areas of expertise, including the ability to trouble-shoot hydraulics. We are very fortunate to have him as part of the Pittman Mine Service, LLC team.
